It beings emotional and spiritual benefits when consumed with *mindfulness* and *intention*. It is often described as heart opening, grounding and softly supports the release of emotions. *How is ceremonial cacao different cocoa powder? Ceremonial cacao is made from whole cacao beans and made into a pure paste. It’s minimally processed and its nutrients are preserved, as well as its earthy, bitter, raw taste. Cocoa powder on the other hand is processed, de-fatted and alkalised, reducing its bitterness to improve flavour, and unfortunately so much of its nutrients and benefits are lost.
